Jay Conner is the president and CEO of both MLAW Consultants & Engineers and MLA Labs, Inc.  His outstanding commitment to quality has defined the standard for customer service in the residential and light commercial industries. Jay's experience with builders and architects throughout Texas have helped MLAW develop a reputation for leadership in the industry. Since 1964, MLAW has provided soils reports, foundation design, framing plans, inspections and forensic investigations.

 

Curtis Hausmann has been with BMC Building Materials and Construction Services for over 25 years.  He is currently Director of Sales and Marketing for BMC in Austin and the Business Unit Manager of their Austin Showroom and Design Center.  BMC has a legacy of providing quality products and services to the Home Builders of Greater Austin that dates back to 1938 when the company was founded as Stripling-Blake Lumber Co.  Curtis served on the HBA board of directors from 2000 through 2006, received the HBA Associate of the Year award in 2008, and is a current HBA board member in 2011.  He is also active in other building trade associations.


 

Kim Higbie is the Residential Account Manager for Service TECH Audio Video. Service TECH is a high end custom design / build firm which focuses on whole home lighting, automation and audio video distribution.  Kim is responsible for understanding how our clients work, live and play in their space.  She is active in the Austin HBA and AIA.


 

Kayvon Leath is the Marketing and Business Development Manager for Anchor-Ventana Glass.  Kayvon joined the Anchor-Ventana team 20 years ago. She is responsible marketing and development for new customers in the Austin Market.   She is an active member of the Austin Home Builders Association and Austin NARI Board of Directors.

Kevin McLain has worked for The Dow Chemical Company for 31 years, starting his career in 1978. He graduated from Western Michigan University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. Kevin is a four-time recipient of THE PINNACLE AWARD for Sales Excellence, Dow’s highest sales award.  He has also received the President’s Award of Excellence as a member of the Residential Market Management Team.   Kevin is active in The Greater Dallas HBA as a member of the board of directors.  He is also co-chair of the Education Committee of the GDHBA. Kevin works closely with architects, energy code officials, distributors, dealers, remodelers and builders promoting the use of insulated sheathings and overall moisture management in residential construction.

 

Ted Parsons has proved to be an asset to the homebuilder and insulation business for the past 20 years. He is the Sales Manager of Austin Contractor Services, a division of Masco, a Fortune 300 company. He is an Optima, Icynene, and Demilec certified dealer, also highly knowledgeable and efficient in quality product specialization. Quality products include installation of Lennox fireplaces, Energy Star home performance testing, Seamless Raingutters and garage doors and Radiant Barrier.

JD Steanson has been with Capitol City Insurance Agency, The Greatest Agency in Texas since 2003.
He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Home Builders Association of Greater Austin, and is a member of the Texas Nursery and Landscape Association (TNLA) and The Greater Austin Contractors and Engineers Association to name a few.
He specializes in bringing insurance into the 21st century with a positive, informative and interactive approach to protect your business. He prides himself in understanding the specific concerns and needs for each and every client.


Linda Strickel joined Bonded Builders Warranty Group in spring of 2002 as Sales and Marketing Director for the Austin/ San Antonio area. Bonded Builders Warranty Group is a 21 year old company with an outstanding reputation that provides third party Major Structural warranties for new homes and remodel projects. Linda has been a part of the Austin Home building industry for the past 30 years marketing various products to builders.  She is an active member of the Greater Austin HBA serving as Women Council President in 1995 she also served numerous years on the board of directors. Linda currently serves as Associate VP Area 6 for Texas Association of Builders and is a member of seven Home Builder Associations in Central Texas.

 

 

 Gabriel Trinidad is the corporate General Manager for Lighting Incorporated and partner in Illumitech Electric. Gabriel serves on the executive board of directors for the Home Builders Association Of Greater Austin and is a member in good standing with the San Antonio Builders Association, American Lighting Association, Custom Builders Council U.S.A. Trey Wilson joined his family at Wilson AC & Appliance after graduating from UT in 1982.  He worked in every aspect of the business from service to installation to sales.  Today Wilson AC & Appliance has more than 30 employees devoted to giving their customers the very best service possible.

Wilson AC & Appliance has been serving Austin and the surrounding Hill Country since 1949 by providing quality home appliances and factory trained and authorized service for all brands they sell.  Their new showroom, located on Hwy 290 just west of Austin, has over 10,000 square feet of showroom space and five “live” kitchens where customers can see the performance of appliances before making their dream kitchen come true.  Their sales team has an average of 17 years in the appliance industry and Wilson’s is one of only a few appliance companies that still provide their own in-house service department.
